Finding Your Way to Pray // Lenten Class
Mondays, February 23, and March 2, 9, 16, and 23 at 7pm
Prayer helps us nurture our connection with God and more fully inhabit our lives and the world around us. Larger than a single practice, prayer can take many forms that engage our hearts, minds, bodies, and creativity. In this class, we'll explore different ways of praying through teaching and guided experience. Together we'll sample a variety of spiritual practices -- from creative and contemplative to embodied and nature-based -- and you'll leave with ideas for adapting them in ways that fit your own life and deepen your relationship with God.
Rev. Christina Lelache will lead this class on Mondays starting February 23 at 7pm.
Bible Characters & Myers-Briggs Personality Type // Lenten Class
Wednesdays, March 11, 18, & 25 at 7pm
During Lent, we will explore how different personality types appear in Scripture and how God works through each of them in unique and meaningful ways. By looking at biblical characters through the lens of Myers-Briggs, we will discover how God uses diverse temperaments, gifts, and perspectives to build His kingdom. This study will invite us to reflect on our own faith journeys, better understand how God has shaped us, appreciate the differences within our church community, and grow together in grace, compassion, and spiritual maturity.
Rev. Yeeun Kim will lead this class on Wednesdays starting March 11 at 7pm in the Theater Room (Room 302) and on Zoom.
Lenten Sermon Series: The Sensory-Friendly Gospel
Sunday, February 22 through Sunday, March 29
The Gospel isn’t just a story we hear; it’s a world we encounter.
From the grit of the desert dust to the salt of the Galilean sea. From the rhythmic echo of marching boots to the sweetness of the vine.
This Lent, we invite you to join us for The Sensory-Friendly Gospel–as we journey from the wilderness to the cross with us as we engage all five senses to bring the story of Jesus to life.
Ash Wednesday Service of Ashes – February 18
Join us as we begin the Lenten season with a powerful Service of Ashes on Wednesday, February 18, at 7pm.
We are excited to worship in fellowship with our friends from St. Andrew’s UMC of Cherry Hill, Centenary UMC, and Fellowship UMC, gathering together in the Haddonfield UMC Sanctuary. The message will be offered by Rev. Josh Shuster.
We invite you to reflect on the upcoming Lenten journey as a combined community. You may attend the service in person or join us online at haddonfieldumc.org.
