From Conversations to Action: Continuing the Work of Building Neurodivergent Inclusive Communities

Keynote Speaker: Michael Hannon, PhD, LPC, BC-TMH, NCC

We are honored to host Dr. Michael Hannon, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. Dr. Hannon specializes in providing culturally relevant and affirming care to adolescents and adults, with a particular emphasis on serving Black boys and men and fathers of autistic people.

What to Expect:

Action-Oriented Learning: Hear from experts and advocates and explore practical tools.

Breakout Discussions:

Participate in specialty discussions designed to foster deeper education and conversation among all stakeholders, including those who identify as Autistic.

Resource Area:

Explore local organizations and institutions sharing valuable information about their efforts to support and strengthen the Autism community.

Worship Integration:

The celebration continues with our Diversability-themed worship services on Saturday evening at 5:00 PM and throughout all Sunday services.


Saturday Conference Schedule

  • 8:00 AM – Registration, Light Breakfast, & Resource Fair (In-person attendees: Please enter through the Welcome Center doors–next to our parking lot.)

  • 9:00 AM – Introduction & Small Group Breakouts (Registration required for Virtual interactive access)

  • 10:00 AM – Keynote Speaker: Michael Hannon, PhD (Streaming Live on Website, App, YouTube, & Facebook)*

  • 11:00 AM – Small Group Reflection (Registration required for Virtual interactive access)

  • 12:00 PM – Lunch & Extended Resource Fair

About our Keynote Speaker

Dr Hannon is an Associate Professor at Montclair State University and a leading advocate for the well-being of Black fathers, particularly those of autistic individuals. A licensed professional counselor and author of Black Fathering and Mental Health, Dr. Hannon’s work has been featured by the New York Times, NPR, and Black Enterprise. He is the co-founder of the Greater Expectations Teaching and Advocacy Center, a non-profit serving families and professionals in the autism community.
