Caring Ministries

Haddonfield United Methodist Church seeks to provide meaningful care, whether you are a first-time visitor or a long-time member, so that all know that they are loved by God and our community. We provide a variety of caring ministries in order to walk with people throughout all seasons of their lives.

Hospitality

When people come to Haddonfield UMC, we believe they enter into a community rather than a building. Hospitality practices the love of Christ through inviting, welcoming, and caring for all.

Pastoral Care

Whether you are in the hospital or need spiritual support through a change or difficult time in your life, our pastors are available for visits, prayer, and conversation. Pastoral Care provides spiritual support, and should not be considered a substitute for professional counseling if that is needed.

The Visitation Team

Our lay Visitation Team regularly visits, calls, or connects virtually with those who are homebound or who request a visit in order to provide spiritual care, connection, and companionship.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a lay-led program in which trained caregivers provide Christ-centered care and support. Stephen Ministry supports people who are going through tough seasons of their lives and experiencing grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, or some other life crisis.

The Card Ministry

The Card Ministry makes hand-made cards that are used by the Visitation Team to express care and celebrate meaningful times with members of our church community.

Prayer Ministry

Our prayer ministry is vital to our congregation as we share in each other’s blessings and burdens through the gift of prayer. We engage in this ministry through a regularly updated prayer list, a prayer chain, and the on-going prayers of pastors and staff to lift up our cares to God.
