Haddonfield United Methodist Early Childhood Center (HUMECC) is the combination of the Infant and Toddler and Preschool programs, and is an excellent childcare center for your family.
Whether you are a parent/guardian who needs time during the day or is looking for a Pre-K program, HUMECC is ready to help!
Our Mission
The purpose of the Haddonfield United Methodist Early Childhood Center (HUMECC) is to help each child develop to the fullest of their own potential in an atmosphere of love and trust, of acceptance and understanding. We provide a nurturing atmosphere, follow Christian principles, and encourage Christian values.
Our Philosophy
Through play, children discover themselves and their relationships to other people, animals, and things. Through creative activities, they stretch the imagination and stimulate their creative development. The encouragement and development of rational thinking, fair play, self reliance and individual freedom are all part of the HUMECC objectives.
HUMECC is approved by the State of New Jersey, Division of Youth and Family Services based on equipment, personnel, class routine, and sanitation and fire prevention.
The program develops around the interests of the children, using language arts, math, social studies, science, music, and art. We believe the individual child should have their curiosity aroused, horizons expanded, and experiences broadened.
All HUMECC curriculum is implemented by age appropriate activities including pre-reading and pre-math concepts, drama and music activities, fine and gross motor activities, and social relationships.
Two outdoor play areas are available to the children as well as an indoor play area to be used during inclement weather.
Programs
Infant/Toddler Classes – 1 and 2 years old
Our infant and toddler classes are designed for children who are one and two years old. We strive to promote socialization skills and prepare the children for short separations from their parents and an introduction to basic school routines. This is achieved using creative hands on experiences with a loving and nurturing staff.
Preschool – 3 to 6 years old
The Preschool is for children 3 to 6 years old, including 3 and 4 year old programs, Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten Enrichment, and Full Day Kindergarten. The program continues to develop the interests of the child using language arts, math, social studies, science, music, and art. We concentrate on developing self-confidence and mastering early learning skills. We continue towards academic preparedness and independence.

8 weeks (beginning June – July)
Monday – Friday | 9am-12pm
Choose 2, 3, 4, or 5 days any week
